Contact - Big Thief
Tuning: , E A D G B E
This my attempt to figure out Contact. It is not exact I think Adrianne plays it with a Capo and in a different tuning but I don’t think it sounds far away from the original and it’s really fun and easy to play Tuning : DFDDDE E|------------ D|----4-4----- D|----4-4----- D|--0-------x2 F|------------ D|-0---------- -------------- ------4-2--0-0 ------4-2--0-0 ----3--------- --0----------- -------------- -------------- -2-0---------- -2-0---------- -------------- -------------- -------------- ------| ------| ------| ------| ------| ------| E|------------ D|----4-4----- D|----4-4----- D|--0-------x2 F|------------ D|-0---------- -------------- ------4-2--0-- ------4-2----0 ----3--------- --0----------- -------------- -------------- -0------------ -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- ----| ----| ----| ----| ----| ----| This the intro riff. It comes along all the song, transitions from the 2 parts aren’t always the same but if you know the song a little this would do I hope! Chorus : (just slide the g string from 4 to 2 to pass verse to chorus) E|------------ D|----4-4----- D|----4-4----- D|--0-------x2 F|------------ D|-0---------- -------------- ------7-4----- ------4-4----- ----3------x2- -------------- --3----------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- ----| ----| ----| ----| ----| ----| With a few of your improvs this is all you need i think now solo !! There is 3 parts/riffs sorry i’m not going to transcribe all the beginning to end of it but here are just the 3 you need to know : E|------------ D|-14--11--9~7 D|-14--11--9~7 D|------------ F|------------ D|------------ -------------- ~4--7~11------ ~4--7~11------ -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- ----------| ----------| ----------| ----------| ----------| ----------| E|------------ D|------------ D|------7--4-- D|---3-------- F|------------ D|-0---------- -------------- -------------- -------------- --x2---------- -------------- -------------- -------------| -------------| -------------| -------------| -------------| -------------| E|------------ D|------------ D|------------ D|------------ F|-0(let ring) D|------------ -------------- -------------- -----------4-- ----0-2-3----- -x1----------- -------------- -------------- ----9~7~4--7~1 ----9~7~4--7~1 x3------------ -------------- -------------- -------------- 1------------- 1------------- -------------- -------------- -------------- -| -| -| -| -| -| ************************************ | x Dead note | ~ Vibrato ************************************
