Use bar chords for F + G but lift your finger to leave the high E + B strings open. 

During Am chords, he uses hammer-ons and pull-offs on the B and G string and also e string 3rd fret:
Making Am7 and Asus2 chords. He also sometimes jumps to Em for one strum so listen out. 

During C chords, he does the same on e string 3rd fret
