FREE BIRD
The track is based in G , and the 5 minute solo used mainly
the G minor pentatonic scale. I suggest practicing the sliding intro
with your finger first and then get out the bottleneck. Also it's
a good idea to rig your electronic tuner (you do have one?) up so
that when you play the guitar a bend a note you can see how close you get
, you should get a power supply for your tuner so you can turn it on
permanantly when your amp is switched on . This really does improve
you pitch. It is vital that you get the right pitch of the notes with
the slide or it sounds useless. Also add a bit vibrato with the slide
for extra effect. You only need a little bit distortion and not to much
for the solo either. Okay here 'tis.

Thats the main song covered , this repeats a few times and then when
come to the outro section . You can take your slide of now and
change to some rhythm playing and then it's the solo.
oh yes this is where there is some slight phasing , but also it's
switched off for the main body of the solo and gradually builds up
into the end section.
