Kevin Parker did it again. What a genius.
I'll start off by giving you tabs for the intro if you want to play it all on guitar, and then the chords.
After the chords, there's a deeper explanation of the chord inversions that Kevin are using if you really
want to play it just like him. I'll also give you some visual demonstrations for the beginners, as well
as some tips on how to play the intro on guitar with bass line and chord progession combined.

It Might Be Time starts of with an electric piano smashing two beautiful and kind of dissonant chords
after eachother. You could say that the first chord is an Amadd2 and the second Gadd2,
but you leave out the 5th note (E and D, respectively).
The song is pretty straight forward, but as usual Kevin's playing around a bit with the timing of the chord
changes, so listen carefully to time them right if you wanna play it correctly.
Very few of the chords are being played in root position as they have a sort of semi-dissonance to them
caused by the major 7th:s being all vibey with the root notes. To get the chorus riff right,
you need to play the chords in the right inversions. You'll get all this at the bottom.

EXPLANATIONS, CHORD INVERSIONS (MAINLY FOR PIANO) AND TIPS FOR BEGINNERS:

From what I picked up, this is how the chords are being played, with the actual note order in parentheses
for those who aren't that theoretical excluding the bass note/root note
(and I'm mainly speaking in piano terms considering the nature of the song):

Intro chords (four bars):
Amadd2: root position A, B, C (hit this chord once at the very first beat of each bar)
Gadd2: root position G, A, B (hit this seven times per bar)

Verse chords::
Dmaj7: 1st inversion (F#, A, C#, D)
Cmaj7: 2nd inversion (G, B, C, E)
Gmaj7: 3rd inversion (F#, G, B, D)
F#m7: root position (F#, A, C#, E)
D#maj7: root position (D#, G, A#, D)

Chorus chords:
Dmaj7: 1st inversion
C#m7: 2nd inversion (G#, B, C#, E)
Cmaj7: 2nd inversion
Gmaj7: 3rd inversion
F#m7: root position
F#m7/G#: root position (F#, A, C#, E with G# bass)
F#m7add2/G#: root position (F#, G#, A, C#, E with G# bass)
C#m7/G#: 2nd inversion (with G# bass)
Cmaj7/E: 2nd inversion (with E bass)

With your fretting hand (left if you're right handed and vice versa), put your pinky or ring finger
on the seventh fret on the D-string, whichever you find most comfortable. Put your index finger on the fifth
fret on the G-string. After the first chord, you've let go of your index finger, leaving the index finger
and the middle finger free for the bass line. The first three notes on the lowest string (E-string tuned
down to D) are played on an open string (so only using your thumb on your strumming hand), and then use your
middle finger for the 7th fret on the lowest string, and then your index finger for the fifth fret
on the A-string.

With your fretting hand, put your index finger on the fifth fret on the A-string. Use your middle finger
for the fifth fret on the G-string and your pinky for the seventh fret on the D-string.
After the first beat, release the middle finger so you're only using your pinky for the chord.
You're only using your index finger for the bass on the fifth fret.
