On the recording of the I Feel Fine single (18th, October 1964),
John used his Gibson J-160 E, plugged into his Vox AC 50. In a
quite studied manner, Paul's bass opening A note fed back John's
pickup, which he had approached to that effect to Paul's Vox AC
100 amp and its speakers' vibration produced that famous buzz,
for the first time on record, in his own open A note. The other
strings were muted).
