[Break]

[Verse 2]
N.C.
I remember a little country church house
N.C.
where I'd planned to meet a friend one night to go on a party.
N.C.
I got there early and when it started to rain,
N.C.
I decided to wait inside.
N.C.
The service had started and when they would
N.C.
sing, pray, or preach, Satan kept saying
N.C.
"Now this is no place for you
N.C.
and the things they're saying are not true."
N.C.
Just when I was about to leave,
N.C.
the invitation was given as the preacher raised his hands
N.C.
and asked us all to stand and sing.
N.C.
And then I don't know how long I prayed,
N.C.
but when God raised me from that bench,
N.C.
I knew that Satan had lied to me.

[Chorus]

Satan lied to

me, Satan lied

 to me

When he said h

e'd be my frie

nd all I'd ev

er need

Satan lied to

me, Satan lied

 to me

He told me I w

as satisfied,

Satan lied to

me.
